My name is Megan Zadow. I have been doing hair as long as I can remember. Hair was my first love and has become a life-long passion. As a stylist, I strive to go above and beyond for my guests. I love to teach artistry to my clients so they can recreate and maintain their look at home.
My career started In Ames, IA, where I graduated from the Professional Cosmetology Institute in 2003. I worked in Des Moines for a few years then relocated to Denver, CO where I continued to practice hair. I am very happy to have been back in Des Moines since 2012.
While in Denver, I managed a barbershop and obtained my barbers license in the state of CO. I have a passion for continued education as I’m always trying to better myself and learn the newest trends and techniques in my industry. For that reason, I have been trained in cutting and color techniques in Aveda, Bumble and Bumble, Paul Mitchell, American Crew, Hudivani, Rusk, Redken; as well as Wella, Schwartzkopf, Oligo and Alter Ego color techniques, Deva Curl cutting and Aquage updos. I have been to multiple hair shows including Vegas and Chicago and have had one on one training at the Bumble and Bumble institute in NYC.

I am so lucky to have had the best job since 1992. It’s different everyday! I get to connect with people and make them look and feel amazing. When I am not in the salon I love to spend time with family enjoying nature, dog walks, and travel.

I live in Urbandale with my husband and 3 kids. I have been doing hair since 2003 and loved every second of it. I love the feeling of having clients walk out feeling better than they did when they walked in. My time at Harmony has been awesome!

Kim Bishop
Cosmetologist
My name is Kim Bishop, I have been a licensed Cosmetologist since 1987.
I started my career in a small shop of barbers, who generously taught me barbering technique, next up was a couple of years in a salon specializing in children’s haircutting/permanents and fairly quickly moved to haircutting and permanent technique centered in Pivot Point and Zotos education and color tech from Wella, Redken, Perma of Paris and more recently, All-Nutrient haircolor lines. I enjoyed a week of haircutting instruction in Santa Monica, California at the Vidal Sassoon Academy. My most recent certification is from Bellami Hair extensions.
I love what I do in this profession, even though it has not always loved me.. I have battled unknown illness and have discovered a couple of specific chemicals that were making me very ill.. I have turned that into my main focus these days, which is the driver of what led me to Harmony Salon, in finding a ‘chemically clean’ place to do what I do, utilizing and making available to my clients, organic and vegan lines to feel better myself and find and make available product lines to help those around me feel better, too. I am happy to represent Rowe Casa Organics on my shelves and All-Nutrient hair color and retail products behind the chair.
